Sammy is the Founder and CEO of AlphaX Decision Sciences focused on delivering cloud-native AI software to its Fortune 500 customers in Oil and Gas Upstream, and Energy and Utilities sectors. Previously, Sammy was the Director for Baker Hughes’s Palo Alto Innovation Center, and the Enterprise Data Analytics Group. Other corporate roles included Director at Procter & Gamble on advanced analytics; Chief Software Architect on world’s first Irregular Operations system for Delta Airlines, a $250M savings in first year; developing the world’s first electronic bill payment and presentation system for CheckFree (bought by FISERV for $4.4B). Sammy is on the Board of Advisors of ITAQ II (a Special Purpose Acquisition Company) raising $172.5M at IPO, currently evaluating energy sector candidates. Sammy served on the Board of Advisors for Saffron Technology which was acquired by Intel for >$95M. Sammy serves as a mentor at the Silicon Valley Alchemist Accelerator. He has been a Board Member and Chairman of Programs for OTC-d5 from 2015 through 2017. Sammy is a Charter Member with TIE Silicon Valley, and previously president of TIE Carolinas. Sammy has been published and/or presented at CERAWeek, Hart Energy, MEOS, ASEE, ASME, IJEE, AAPG, OTC, and ADIPEC conferences1, and co-authored a chapter in an academic book2 currently taught in USA and European universities. He served as Board of Advisors of Stanford Energy Corporate Affiliates, University of Oklahoma's School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Presently, he is a Member of Dean’s Council at W.P. Carey Business School, ASU. Sammy earned a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. His interests include ultra-endurance cycling, race car driving, and a solo climbing.
