Khaled W. Al-Deyain is Assistant Undersecretary of Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Oil in Kuwait. He is responsible for Kuwait's field development and exploration departments, to assure reservoir and fields health and performance, monitoring the related drilling and production plan and actual operations using assuring implementation of best industrial practices, and regulating upstream activities related to environment and safety towards a safe working place and environment. With expertise in reservoir production development & drilling, Khaled is an author and publisher of different SPE papers in Automation & AI for Smart & Digital Oil Fields application & optimization, a speaker at different international conferences, WPC CPC Member representative, and VP of Kuwait National Committee. He is also a member of Climate Change Kuwait National Committee and holds a Baccalaureate degree in Petroleum Engineering from Kuwait University.
