Amit Ray is currently working as Chief Geophysicist in Telesto Energy, a technology-driven company providing end-to-end solutions for the oil and gas industry and head-quartered in Singapore. He possesses more than 18 years of experience in the oil and gas Industry. He has completed Master’s degree in Applied Geophysics at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad in the year 2002. Prior to joining Telesto Energy, Amit worked in the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Reliance Industries Ltd., Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute in India and Arcis Seismic Solutions, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company in Calgary, Canada in various technical positions. His areas of expertise are seismic reservoir characterization, quantitative seismic interpretation including seismic attribute analysis, rock physics & AVO analysis and pre-stack deterministic and geostatistical inversion and AI/ML-driven seismic reservoir characterization. He has published a number of technical papers/abstracts in national and international journals/conferences.
