Preparations for MEOS are going exceptionally well with the event being held under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, for the first time. Furthermore MEOS has received a record number of paper submissions this year and we have a number of new companies exhibiting at the event.

Despite the excitement of hosting MEOS next month, due to the possibility that Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre would still be serving as a public health facility, the decision to reschedule the event was made by the National Oil and Gas Authority, Saudi Aramco, the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Informa Markets.

Bahrain is returning to normality, as shown by the recent staging of the Formula 1 Grand Prix with fans in attendance, and we are confident that exhibitions and conferences will be hosted again in 2021. In addition we anticipate a further easing of travel restrictions towards the end of the year making it significantly easier for participants to travel to Bahrain.

Updated Event Schedule

  • 28 November 2021: Conference Opening Ceremony, The Ritz Carlton
  • 29 November – 1 December 2021: Conference and Exhibition, Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre

We wish to assure you that your participation is still valid for the new dates, we very much look forward to welcoming you to Bahrain. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling; and appreciate your strong support in these extraordinary times. The MEOS team remains committed to hosting an exceptional event in line with its rich history.
